What is this program?
For a limited time, Microsoft Learning will be packaging a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate Edition or WS 2008 R2 Standard Edition along with exam vouchers with specific Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 courses for CPLS distribution to customers when they attend a class. These are called “Career Packages.”
Why is Microsoft Learning doing this?
To enable customers to utilize the software for training and evaluation purposes and to help them improve their careers by getting a job, getting a promotion, or becoming indispensable in their existing roles.
Are there any software use terms and conditions customers need to follow?
Yes. This software is fully licensed (Note: APAC may add restrictions for their region TBD), and this allows for home and business use of this software that does not expire.
Is the software time-bombed?
No.
What software is being distributed with the courseware?
For Windows Server, this software will come in two DVDs (64-bit and 32-bit), will include five CALs, and is identical to the retail version of the software (only different packaging). For Windows 7, this will be an Ultimate version of the software on one DVD that is also identical to the retail version.

Note:
*A customer can take any exam pertaining to the technology featured in the MOC kit they purchased, and not only the exam that maps to that course.

What happens if I do not abide by the terms of participation outlined in the Learning Solution competency?
You may prohibited from continued participation in the program.
Can I distribute the software with courses other than those designated?
No, you may only distribute the software with the designated courses.
Can I distribute the exam vouchers separately?
You cannot sell the vouchers separately.
Can I run both classes with and without the software SKU at my discretion?
Yes. If you wish.
What if a customer attends the same class twice? Do they get another copy of the software?
A customer can receive another copy of the software only if they pay both times for class attendance.
Can I distribute the software with courses after the campaign dates?
No. We must ensure that all customers receive the same offer during the same offer dates.
How do I order the courseware and software bundle?
You may order the courseware with the software bundle through the same distribution channels you use to order the courseware. The courseware with the software will be designated with special SKUs for ordering and tracking purposes.
What are the details for each bundle?

What happens if I have leftover kits?
This campaign will operate under a no returns policy.
What if you run out of software?
We have taken steps to help ensure that we do not run out of the software, including asking all participating CPLS to adhere to a set of terms and conditions. That being sent, this offer is while supplies last.
What are the software terms and condition for the customer?
This software is fully licensed and comes with 1-CAL for Windows 7 and 5-CALs for Windows Server 2008. This can be used in both a home and business environment.
What marketing materials are available for this campaign?
We will have flyers, buttons, banners, email templates, and web templates available shortly through the Campaign Factory.
Can I resell this software?
No.
What happens if this software is resold?
Microsoft will investigate and take proper action depending on the circumstances.
What are the campaign dates?
The campaign dates are starting October 21 for Windows 7 and October 26 for Windows Server 2008 with both ending June 30, 2010 (while supplies last).
